Dear fellow alumni members.
I have the privilege to serve as the president of the Alumni Association of Hansung
University. For a normal entrepreneur of a small business, the president of well-respected
Hansung University is an immensely difficult yet privileged position. However, as one of
the Alumni members, I have had serious concerns for the Association. In spite of the
former president of the Association, Mr. Ha Deung-yong who had significant efforts to
bring in the participation of cooperation from the Alumni members, but the participation
and cooperation was simply not there. Therefore, I could not turn away from the will of
the members to serve the Association again.
Under the turbulent economic situation today, I am sure many of you have the difficult
realities as well. It is easy to say that ‘my life is so tough, what does it do good to
participate in the Alumni Association’. We know that there is a famous sentence in
"human is a social animal." It is wise to share our love in tough times and
there is a need of someone to give a pat on the back to encourage each other. Dear Alumni
members, as living in society gets tougher, we need to gather in unity to overcome. The
Association will reorganize to strengthen the relationship among the members, strive to
make financial independence to expand the scholarship program for the enrolled students,
and take on the activities for goods of the University. We are hoping to have the active
participation and cooperation from all of our alumni members.
